New Zealand Campus of Innovation and Sport (NZCIS) in Trentham, Upper Hutt is a new state-of-the-art facility, and Active Healthcare helped to supply and install a ceiling hoist system.
The pool area now features an Active Healthcare Guldmann Ceiling Hoist designed to be used to easily transfer people for rehabilitation and therapy into the pool. As pictured, our National Product Manager Stewart Evans was able to help with a recent pool hoist use. The user pictured had not been upright since his accident, and he was able to enjoy the experience of both being repositioned by our Guldmann sling and hoist system, and was lowered into the pool with a therapist close by helping him with therapy.
As demonstrated, the Guldmann sling, and ceiling hoist are highly suitable for these environments. The Guldmann sling used is the Basic High Sling, ideal ideal for this setting as it is designed to get wet and can withstand hard chlorine.
The entire facility was over $30m of investment and includes a comprehensive campus designed to help people of all levels of ability.
